MOBJE 

Set among the picturesque slopes of Onomichi City and the Seto Inland Sea, founded in 2019, MOBJE’s origins began in 1948 as a renowned hat-making company. Due to changes in fashion trends and a need to upcycle raw materials, MOBJE was born to transform excess fabric into objets d’art and functional decor through its time-honored techniques. 

Made from locally produced raffia palm and Japanese washi paper, each expressive piece is handcrafted by experienced artisans and made complete by you by rearranging the shape to suit your space.

To remove wrinkles, place an ironing cloth over the wrinkled area and gently pass a steam iron over the area. Smooth out the cooled material with your hand. Repeat until wrinkles are gone.

Use a soft brush to remove dust. If the vase becomes stained, dilute a mild detergent in lukewarm water, then soak a washcloth in the solution, lightly wringing it out. Lay the pendant light shade down to clean. Use a warm, clean wet cloth to remove detergent, then wipe off extra moisture with a dry towel. 

Reshape the garment as you like and dry it in a shaded and well-ventilated area.
