Showroom / Stockroom Associate
Morihata International Ltd. Co. (www.morihata.com) is a growing design and lifestyle company specializing in wholesale Japanese goods. rikumo (www.rikumo.com) is our retail wing, which offers all morihata products to individual customers in addition to a much wider selection of Japan-made products.
We are seeking a Showroom / Stockroom Associate to help with warehouse organization, product shipping, and packing/receiving of online orders and in-person customer service. Our ideal candidate should desire to be a part of a fast-growing, rapidly changing company in the retail/wholesale industry.
This job requires being physically present at our storefront in Ardmore, PA. We will only consider candidates that are able to meet this criteria. The Ideal candidate will also be able to work at least one day during the weekend (Saturday or Sunday).
Key Areas of Responsibility
Helping both showroom & online customers face to face or via email and phone
Working with Manager / Assistant Manager to meet project deadlines
Packing & shipping online orders for both B2B and B2C sales
Assisting with visual merchandising and store organization
Assisting with regular cycle counts to maintain stock room organization
Receiving shipments for wholesale and retail products
Creating short daily reports
Other Responsibilities
Planning out daily packing responsibilities to prepare for regular UPS / USPS pickups
Organizing packaging for private label products to meet the demand of our online accounts
Daily clean-ups to maintain showroom and warehouse
Refilling inventory daily if additional stock is available
Reports to: Manager / Assistant Manager
Education and Experience
A college degree preferred or 1+ years of work experience in a retail / showroom environment
Skills and Abilities
Ability to handle multiple projects in various stages of completion
Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
Must show a high level of work ethic
Must have a high level of attention to detail
Must be self-directed when necessary but able to work in a team environment
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be quick and efficient
Candidates with knowledge of or background in the retail & wholesale industry; Japanese culture, craftsmanship, or design; or home and interior design products will be strongly considered for this position.

Wholesale Account Coordinator
Location: Philadelphia / PAÂ

Position Overview
The Wholesale Account Coordinator will report directly to the CEO and CFO, supporting various functions of the wholesale department. This role focuses on account management, order processing, customer service, logistics coordination, and sales outreach. Additional responsibilities include trade show support, account approval, payment collection, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about design, culture, and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute daily tasks to achieve monthly sales targets
Review and approve prospective wholesale accounts
Provide customer support to all wholesale accounts
Coordinate orders and shipments with the wholesale associate
Assist Pack, label, and ship domestic and international orders
Attend trade shows and marketing events; assist with booth set-up, on-site support, and take-down
Develop and nurture relationships with clients to expand the client database
Generate monthly sales reports
Educate and promote brand awareness and product knowledge
Lead generation and follow-up with prospective clients
Manage account approval processes
Conduct weekly client outreach via email
Handle new wholesale account requests
Invoice clients and process and collect payments
Support Accounts Receivable by providing monthly reports on past-due accounts
Utilize various software platforms to track and analyze customer sales, performance, trends, and opportunities
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Education and Experience:
A college degree is required or equivalent with 2+ years of work experience in wholesale account sales, retail sales, inventory management, and/or warehouse management within the wholesale/retail industry.
Candidates with a background or interest in the retail & wholesale industry, Japanese culture, craftsmanship, and/or home + interior design products will be highly considered.
