Fujita Aluminum Round Bowl
$ 205.00 USD
Set it on the table with an evening meal, or place it in the foyer as an entryway catchall; however you use your Fujita Aluminum Bowl, its beautifully textured surface will draw quite a few stares, thanks to the artist's careful hammering and shaping techniques. Note also that the interior of the bowl shines with a luster unmatched by its outer surface, a dichotomy that only adds to the piece's idiosyncratic appeal. And as a final, personal touch, the artist has hand-signed the bottom of each bowl.
About Fujita Metalworks
As the award-winning artist behind Fujita Metalworks likes to point out, metal wares are easy to incorporate into our everyday lives. They're durable, of course, but in the hands of a master, they transcend utilitarian concerns to become rugged works of art that nonetheless have practical benefits - exactly what Fujita offers.

Mishim Cake Pedestal
$ 230.00 USD
Part of the studio's Fractal series, the Mishim Cake Pedestal is a marriage of discrete aesthetics: the crackling, textured glazes found in Japanese kairagi ceramics and the classical shapes common in Western architecture. Each pedestal comes in two pieces - a platter and a base - making it simple to lift off your baked goods for easy transportation or quick storage in the fridge. Add a dash of regal nobility to your next baking triumph.
Please note: To achieve the unique crackled texture of Mishim ceramics, the glaze is applied as thinly as possible. This may make it easier for oils to penetrate the glaze and stain the product. To be safe, consider using a layer of paper between the pedestal and baked goods, and avoid leaving in direct contact with oil for extended periods. Please contact us at info@rikumo.com with any questions.
About Mishim Pottery Creation
By design, no ceramics from Mishim ever remain the same for very long. The studio's artists employ materials that develop with age, allowing their works to take on a new depth of character with the passage of time. By partnering with kilns that have seen use for more than 700 years, Mishim takes that time-honoring philosophy a step further, offering heirloom-quality pieces that carry the past within them. See the full Mishim collection here.

Care: Hand wash with gentle detergent, then dry thoroughly. Not oven-, microwave-, dishwasher-, or freezer-safe. Note that chips in the glaze are expected during production but should not happen afterward.

Mishim Rim Plate
$ 80.00 USD
Part of the studio's Fractal series, the Mishim Rim Plate was clearly meant to stand out visually - its distinctive glaze and organic coloration serve as proof - but its aesthetic appeal is largely forgotten the moment this plate is touched. That's because Mishim truly excels at the more tactile elements of design; to hold this tableware in your hand is to feel its elemental origins expressed through a curiously coarse exterior. Serve your guests on Mishim ceramics and turn any meal into a buffet for the senses.
Please note: To achieve the unique crackled texture of Mishim ceramics, the glaze is applied as thinly as possible. This may make it easier for oils to penetrate the glaze and stain the product. To be safe, avoid leaving in direct contact with oil for extended periods. Please contact us at info@rikumo.com with any questions.

Bizen Hiiro Water Carafe
$ 240.00 USD
There's an old Japanese saying: "Water does not spoil in Bizen ware water jugs." Maybe that's because each vessel is pure clay, free of any chemical additives; maybe it's because Bizen ware ceramics have more than 1,000 years of history informing their design and production. Either way, one thing is certain: Adding an elegant Bizen Hiiro Water Carafe to your table is sure to elevate any occasion.
Each carafe comes with a beautiful lid that doubles as drinkware. Additional Bizen Hitoe Cups sold separately. Available in two colors.
About Daikura
Though it's only been around since 2011, the Daikura brand is informed by the experience of Ogawa Shuzo, a craftsman with almost 50 years' practice working with Bizen ware. For more than a millenium, this type of vessel has been a favorite in Japan due to the popular belief that Bizen ceramics improve flavor, which is probably why Bizen drinkware graces the tables of many high-end restaurants in Japan. It is the goal of Daikura to honor the legacy of Bizen ware by providing ceramics that meet the lofty standards of this age-old art form.
Materials: Clay
Dimensions: 2.5" D x 10.7" H
Care: Gently hand wash and dry. Rinse with water before using. Sensitive to high heat; do not use with boiling water or place over an open flame. Because the surface of the clay is somewhat rough, we recommend using a mat under the cup and carafe.
