Frustum Porcelain Tea Cup
Frustum Porcelain Tea Cup
Drawing on the same truncated conical shape (known as a "frustum") as other pieces in this line, the Frustum Porcelain Tea Cup is a quiet and stately work of art that will quickly become your go-to vessel for tea.
Its unusual white indigo glaze and elegant geometric profile - designed in collaboration with Keita Hanazawa, founder of Mag Design Lab - perfectly complement a satisfyingly coarse texture that calls to mind the line's earthen origins. Each porcelain piece is crafted from granite clay locally harvested in Toki, Japan, and fired in a 150-year-old kiln by master craftspeople.
Winner of Germany's Red Dot Design Award (2020).

Shinzangama Yamatsu Co.
The craftworks of Shinzangama Yamatsu Co. can be traced all the way back to 1868 - the very first year of the Meiji era - when the company began creating Mino ware ceramics, a regional specialty. The clay around Toki, the home of Shinzangama Yamatsu, comes from granite eroded over millennia by wind, rain and the flow of the local Shonai River. Today, the brand combines these high-quality natural materials with its 150 years of experience to create unique kitchen and home goods that bring color to people's lives.
