Made of Tobe porcelain, the Four-Legged Mug design is hand-painted with traditional Japanese design motifs and variable stripes in the Sugiura Koubow Studio in Ehime.

Hari-awase, meaning to join together, is reflective of Aya Sugiura’s whimsical style of tobeyaki. Hand-stretched and shaped from tatara (slabs of clay), each piece is one-of-a-kind, and its individual parts are made freehand, showcasing each ceramic ware’s individuality.

Keeping its original form, the untrimmed lip and added feet at the base of the cup make for a special mug unlike standard vessels, protecting your surfaces from hot temperatures.
