Shekwasha Brightening Essence
The Shekwasha Brightening Essence from Ruhaku is a lightweight serum that helps combat dullness while promoting a more youthful complexion. Every drop is fortified with nobiletin, a blemish-reducing flavonoid extracted from shekwasha, also called the Okinawa lime. For generations, this citrus fruit has been used by the women of Okinawa - also called the "island of longevity" - to fight the signs of aging.
What’s inside? Key ingredients include:
- Shekwasha (Citrus depressa): A small sour citrus fruit native to Okinawa and rich in antioxidant flavonoids that promote skin elasticity, it is renowned for its ability to brighten and tone skin.
- Noni (Morinda citrifolia): A fragrant fruit in the coffee family that is high in micronutrients and has long been used in traditional medicine.
Ruhaku
Hailing from the shores of Okinawa, the Ruhaku Beauty Collection offers skincare products based on fresh, organic ingredients. The brand's Gettou line - named after the Japanese term for shell ginger, its key ingredient - is rich in antioxidants, as is the Shekwasha line that takes its name (and its rejuvenating powers) from the Okinawa lime. For generations, the women of Okinawa have used these same ingredients to ward off signs of aging, making them natural choices for a beauty brand honoring the famous "island of longevity."

After moisturizing, add a small amount of cleanser to dry hands (around 2 - 3 pumps). Spread across your face using a circular motion. Smooth over your face until you feel that it has been adequately absorbed.
Use within 3 years if unopened or 3 months if open. To maximize longevity, do not allow water into the container. Due to the use of natural ingredients, fragrance and color may change slightly over time; this is natural and should not affect the quality of the product. Avoid contact with eyes.
