The Yuragi Rocking Chair is a modern take on the classic zaisu chair that is found in homes throughout Japan. Handmade in Okayama, it represents the marriage of time-honored Japanese craftsmanship and Danish design sensibilities. The Yuragi Rocking Chair features a sturdy frame (in either walnut or oak) that is wrapped with paper cord in the “Danish style” weave that was popularized by many iconic mid-century chair designs. The paper cording and ergonomic frame provide three-dimensional support for the body, while the single armed design makes it easy to get in and out of the chair.
Each Yuragi chair is made to order and may take eight to twelve weeks for delivery. The chair is available in both walnut and oak and can be made with the arm on the left or right. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance when purchasing.
