Perhaps it's his background in environmental design, but ceramicist K. Omori seems to be perfectly in tune with the earth. The way he emphasizes the rough-hewn textures other craftsmen reject shows how highly he values the natural characteristics of his materials - the way raw clay feels in your hand, the dappled color of an organic element. It's little wonder that his work continues to be shown in exhibitions across Japan.
