Made from a mixture of clay minerals, the Hasami Milk Pitcher has an earthy, coarse texture that is both rustic and refined. Multi-functional in nature and minimal in design, it combines traditional Japanese techniques with modernist form.
About Hasami Porcelain
Hasami Porcelain is molded by hand and rendered with an organic, almost primitive texture. The collection is modular by design; mugs, plates, and bowls all share the same diameter, allowing for easy stacking for storage or display. The inspiration for its stacking mechanism comes from tiered boxes used in Japanese cuisine, now repurposed for modern living. Hasami Porcelain pieces are hand-made in Hasami, Nagasaki, where ceramics have been the main craft industry for the past 400 years.
Please note: because of the handmade nature of Hasami pieces, some pieces may experience slight variations in glaze and colors. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

This kettle is produced in Iwate Prefecture, where cast iron manufacturing has a history of over nine hundred years. At once artful and quiet in form, this piece reinterprets the traditional tetsubin kettle style. Water that is boiled in an iron kettle has a distinctly mellow flavor that pairs ideally with savory Japanese green teas, making this tea kettle the perfect companion for afternoon tea.
Safe to use on inductive-heat stovetops.
Materials: cast iron
Dimensions: Height: 4” Diameter: 7”
Volume: 50 oz
Care: Dry thoroughly after each use. Please note that the iron may rust slightly due to natural oxidization and that the kettle is still completely safe to use. A slight film will appear inside after usage; because it prevents rust, we recommend not scrubbing it off. Using your kettle daily for the first month will solidify that film and maximize the kettle's lifespan.
