These artful wooden toys are created in a small toymakers’ workshop based in the rural prefecture of Ehime, where beechwood trees grow locally. Made with all-natural materials, each classic toy is designed to be passed down through the generations. A portion of proceeds from the purchase of these toys is donated to support the Carbon Offsetting Project, a Japan-based effort to combat global climate change.

Claire Plush Rattle
This little rattle is made from the same ultra-soft cotton as the Claire towel collection. A sweet musical bell rings out from inside this toy pyramid, keeping your little one entertained for hours on end.Materials: Outer: 100% Cotton. Inner: Polyester

Tsumiki Stacking Blocks
Create gigantic pyramids, birds of paradise, and unique sculptures with these wooden stacking blocks designed by celebrated architect and Tokyo Olympics Stadium designer Kengo Kuma. Made of lightweight cedar wood, these triangular blocks can be stacked and arranged on top of each other in a a light, transparent construction that mirrors contemporary Japanese architecture.
The Kuma Tsumiki Building Blocks were created in collaboration with More Trees, a forest conservation organization led by musician Ryuichi Sakamoto that makes toys out of thinned wood. Tree thinning is an eco-friendly forestation technique where weak, ageing trees are cleared from overcrowded forests so that the forest as a whole can continue to thrive. The wood is Japanese cedar wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
