Re.Lana Towel

3 items left

Wrap yourself up airy plushness. Re.Lana is an environmentally kind update to our feather-soft and breezy Lana towel. It utilizes scrap cotton byproducts that would otherwise end up in a landfill while remaining every bit as absorptive as it’s 100% organic cotton sibling. Just one bath towel upcycles 179g of discarded cotton, minimizing CO2 emissions and reducing the use of water and dyes in the process.

About Kontex
Kontex has been crafting high-quality towels in Imabari, Japan since 1934. Each towel is made from fine, garment quality thread that’s loosely twisted for the highest level of softness. Because such threads would break on modern machines, Kontex towels are gently woven on traditional, low-speed looms to maintain the integrity of the thread and achieve a level of softness that current machines cannot reproduce. Since towels are used against the skin, it’s imperative that no abrasive substances remain on the surface of the towel. Kontex textiles are carefully washed with large quantities of fresh spring water from the melted snow of Mt. Ishizuchi, ensuring every thread remains free from impurities.
