About Matcha
Matcha is a finely ground tea made from tea leaves that are shaded from the sun before harvesting. This process concentrates chlorophyll and other nutrients into the leaves, and results in a beautiful green color and increased health benefits. Finally, the best leaves are plucked and slowly ground (about 30g per hour) to reduce oxidation.

Morihata Organic Kirishima Loose Leaf Green Tea
$ 30.00
The dark and irregularly shaped leaves found in Kirishima are steamed for twice as long as typical senchas. This process produces an approachable tea with a mild flavor and an especially dark verdant color. This style is a relative newcomer to the world of Japanese green teas and is known for being refreshing and easy to brew. Kirishima is one of our favorite teas to drink cold.
What to expect from Kirishima: A coarse tea that, when brewed, results in a cup with light sediment, notes of cucumber and freshly cut grass, and a somewhat floral aftertaste.
