S. Morishita Kettle

Give the S. Morishita Kettle more than a cursory glance, and you'll start to note departures from any kettle that came before. The countless hammer blows covering its surface are striking enough, but gaze at it a moment longer and a second, underlying texture emerges, one that's more evident on the kettle's lid. This same lid is held in place by similarly sized but irregularly shaped nodules made from drops of molten aluminum, and arcing above it all is a handle manually shaped around three studs and attached with pins of brass that stand out from this cookware's otherwise slivery surface.

About S. Morishita
