Sakuzan Drip Cup

This handmade Sakuzan Drip Cup showcases two important aspects of the artistic process: craftsmanship and spontaneity. Each piece is fired with a homemade glaze that changes color in the kiln so that not even the creator knows exactly what a piece will look like until it is finished. The result is organic color that drips from the vessel's edges, simulating a cup overflowing with generosity. At once bright and serene, this artful drinkware is the perfect partner for slow mornings with a cup of tea or afternoon visits with friends. Pairs with the Sakuzan Drip Bowl.

Please note: Sakuzan pieces are made to order and may exhibit some idiosyncrasies in glazing. By design, the glaze features minuscule cracks; this is entirely normal and an integral part of the Mino ware aesthetic tradition.
